Homeschool Day at Legoland

Today we took our first official "kinda" day off. We went to Legoland and this girls rode this ride over and over! I rode it once and then watched after that.

Also, one thing I really like there are all the Lego statues. The park is just beautiful. The landscaping is great and the statues really add to the whimsy of the place. Here are some of my favorites.

Personal favorite: dog peeing on a fire hydrant

This is from the Miniland and is of New Orlean at Mardi Gras. Notice the people in the balcony have beads to throw down!

This almost looks real. Notice the statues in the enclaves.

I saw these for real last summer and I love them at Legoland1

How could you have Lego statues without a giant bust of Einstein?

More Scrapbook Pages - part 2

So my goal this summer was to finish 2005, which I did!! So now I am starting on 2006. I'm up to March.

Today, being a rainy day and having nothing else to do, was a perfect day to listen to my favorite, Dennis Prager, and do some scrapbooking.

Here is what I have done since my last post about scrapbooking -

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

This is Walmart yesterday... on SEPTEMBER 21ST!!!. It's SEPTEMBER!!!

Costco Opening by my House!

This is so exciting!! Lakewood Mall announced that they will replace the Macy's (which moved) with a Costco! It is the first ever to be attached to a Mall. Now I officially have no reason at all to leave my immediate neighborhood for any dining/retail needs.

I LOVE where I live!!

Has it really been this long?

I can't believe it's been since SEPTEMBER 12th since I last blogged!! Sorry. I don't know where the time went.

Since then, Regan celebrated her 11th birthday. I can't believe my BABY is 11. She's the one that gives me hope. No matter how old Chandler gets, there is always Regan, staying little. But 11 is HUGE. She's no longer a double-digit newbie. She a veteran double-digit midgit.

Her party is planned for a couple of weeks away, but until then, we went to Disneyland on her actual birthday, and ate a birthday lunch at Panera Bread. We came home and she got her big gift from several families - a new bike! She was so excited and totally surprised!

In honor of her birthday, I had to pull out the old photos and do this montage.

Better Fred than Dead

Not that I'm endorsing the guy, but his pseudo-candidacy cracks me up. These pro-Fred Thompson pieces got me thinking maybe I AM a Fredneck!
