stupid, stupid, stupid

Today, I did something unbelievably stupid. I took my laptop to the hospital to visit Jenny as she went through labor with our precious Emma, and while I was outside, paying for parking, getting ready to go, I set down my laptop.

Fifteen minutes later, while in the car, I realized I had left it there.

It's gone.

I went back to see if anyone had turned it in, and of course the answer was, "No."

Much crying ensued and entreaties to God to no avail.

So while I am unbelievably happy and praising God for the miraculous birth of Emma, the child God promised to Darrenn and Jenny for many years, I am sad at the state of humanity.

At least I can log on to my blog from the girls' computer! I think I can get my email here as well...

Bummer.

That really stinks! Well, the good news is that you can get a Mac now.

Why, do macs never get stolen. I know they never get viruses, but I didn't know they actually change the sin nature of humanity as well as make you smart enough not to leave them behind.

If they make everyone an honest person, I say we spend our national budget on getting one in every person's hands on the face of the earth.

I wish I had enough money to buy my dearly departed Dell AND a mac, but I don't see it happening.

Oooh, my hurt hurt as I read your story. Although I think Dave's on to something. It might not make people more honest, but maybe this is God's mysterious way of telling you that's what you really need.

And I'm all for using the budget to get one in everyone's hands. Good thinking. ;) Sorry for your loss nonetheless.
