Curvy vs. Skinny

Dennis Prager talked yesterday about Renee Zellweger and her weight. He used it as a launch point to say, When did gaunt and emaciated become attractive?

I know in my head that curvy looks better, yet if given the choice, I'd take gaunt... Why is that? I don't think I'm alone. What is going on with women that we prefer the preteen boy look to Marilyn Monroe?

Thoughts? Is this atractive??

I love curvy better as well...but I would choose to be the skinny one. Maybe that is because I know I will NEVER look like that???

NO NO NO NO NO... skinny is not attractive. It isn't natural and ew... I think a woman's natural shape is the best. There are far too many women who obsess over having to look like those skinny, airbrushed models in print ads and on TV... I personally prefer curvy - oh, and BIG HAIR... yeah baby.. where are the 80's when you need them!

Sad isn't it? That women today feel pressured to look like a hanger. If a grown woman feels this way, what must our poor adolescent daughters must be going through????

I too think that curvy looks better. But given the choice, I would probably choose thin. Why? Because I struggle with weight and self-depracating thoughts related to body image. I think that being thin would solve all of those issues. I do know that is a foolish thought process. But I am human and the human fleshly insecure side of me says "cut the fat, the curves and bring on the thinness."
