I put a site counter on my blog a little while back. I had published a very personal post and had gotten no comments, so in my little pity party, I took the post down.
Then I started getting the phone calls about what happened to it. So I reposted and then added this site counter. At least with this, if no one left a comment, I would at least know if someone was reading my blog.
So, yesterday, I hit 20,000 hits! That's kinda fun, huh? It's nice to know people read this stuff. Even if 90% of you are lurkers and NEVER leave a comment. I know you are out there!!
You know, I make it easy to comment. You can do it anonymously (but please put your name in your comment) and I don't do the annoying weird, unreadable letters/numbers thing.

Okay, my name is Stephanie and I'm a lurker.
Well, we should talk about hits ;-) ! I had 260,000 hits on my site yesterday (an all time high, posted some Masters track photos) - easy to achieve because each thumbnail view is a "hit", and I do not need to create interesting posts to keep them coming back so my job is easier than yours, oh well.
I average about 50 visitors a day and around 1.5M hits a month - guess people like to look at the photos, now if I could only turn all the "lookers" into buyers ;-) davepeetersphoto.com

I read your blogs every morning before work. Yesterday, I took a vacation day, so I didn't see this one till today. I'll start commenting more ofter but I have to go to work now. (more family pictures)but I like them all. I also like your dad sending pictures right to my email.
