This from a study published in the Journal of Family Psychology: women seeking happily-ever-after should opt for Mr. Average instead of Mr. Perfect.
It appears that when men are more attractive than their wives, they are more negative about their marriages and more likely to cheat. When women are more attractive than their husbands, they experience better marriages and more faithfulness in their men.
I guess this make sense. Mr. Perfect Guy figures if he got one attractive woman, why stop there? There is so many other fish in the sea. Mr. Average Guy figues he's pretty darn lucky to have the one he's got, so he has to work hard to keep her.
So single girls, now you know.
BTW, I did NOT marry Mr. Average Guy! We must be the exception.

So then by these statistics, would two ugly below average people live happily ever after?
That's not how Disney, Grimm, Aesop or Mother Goose tell the story.
I think it has to do more with your moral compass than your looks - guys that put a high value on committment before God can be the most hansome "perfect" guy and still love their wife forever.
Look at Tim! But not to long ladies...
Ok, Donna - a nice comment about Tim this time - it's true, he's a hunk ;-{)
I guess you're never getting rid of me. Marrying up has its advantages.
Thanks Rick... I think.
methinks thou dost protest too much, Rick! Why didn't you just say, "I'm perfect and my marriage is great!" We all know that's what you were thinking.
Just call me Mr. Average!!!!
I agree with Rick and Michelle. First off, if a man thinks highly of God and has his priorities focused upward he will focus naturally on his wife next. He wont be consumed with himself. I agree with Michelle in that I married up. Not perfect but then what would he be doing with me if that was the case? ;) My husband is way to cute and nice but it's becuase he is humble and doesnt know he is so great.Sssshhhhhhh.....
