The first one was about 100 feet tall. They tied a rope around the upper leaves and a bunch of men on the ground pulled while another man, chained to the tree, used a chainsaw to cut off the top. It looked like a bad idea, but I figured, Well, they're the experts. When the top came crashing down on my lawn, it felt like a HUGE earthquake! and left a HUGE crater in our lawn.
So as I watched this video, I thought about how LUCKY we were!!!!

I remember the huge palm tree behind your garage. It reminded me of the one we had behind my house growing up. It was even taller than the one in the video. I HATE palm trees. That is probably why. I have horrible memories of the one at my house. It always had scary things living in it and you never wanted to go near it. How does that help your backyard at all????? Planting trees that make you not want to go back there?
