Piano Recital

The girls have been taking piano lessons for three years now. I'm very proud of their progress. I always wondered what my response would be when/if they started to complain... fortunately they never do and they are doing very well!

Today was their "recital". Basically they play for some senior citizens who may or may not be listening at the Buena Park Senior Center. The girls actually like it that the audience is not paying too much attention. It makes them less nervous.

Anyway, here are some pics from today. They did wonderfully!

Here is their teacher, Mrs. Schoales. She's amazing. She's 87, she SERVES seniors through the Meals on Wheels program, she is so patient. She has been perfect for my beginning players!

Chandler does very well with the music she's been given to practice, but she really enjoys trying to figure out familiar songs.

After this, we'll do one more "recital" at the Artesia Senior Home and then we're taking a break for the summer. It's too hard to coordinate lessons when we'd rather be at the beach! Hopefully they won't forget much in their time off.
