Happy Birthday Tim!

To celebrate Tim's birthday, we left the kids behind and headed down to the Hotel Laguna. Originally built in the late 1800's and rebuilt in the early 30's it has tons of charm and character and sits right in downtown Laguna. I loved the old-world feel and the proximity to all the great restaurants and shops Laguna is known for.

Right away, I fell in love with these kind of details - glass door knobs!

Our view was AMAZING!! We looked right out onto the ocean and Main Beach. We could hear the surf pounding the shore and the people having a good time. Instantly we were transported into another world.
Once we settled in (and after a 20 minute nap) we headed down to the beach to read our books and enjoy the perfect beach weather along the boardwalk.

We just had to take the typical "have a stranger shoot a picture of the two of us" kind of shot. I think it turned out pretty well.

We went out for pizza and then strolled the strip. We visited BOTH Starbucks and made use of our "buy one get one free" coupon which expired the next day.

We found this amazing place right across the street from the hotel, which was apparently built in 1934. It felt like something right out of Europe! I just had to get a picture.

Apparently the stairs lead up to an apartment of some kind. We both agreed it would be heaven to live there.
Now we are back home and settling into real life. I just love these stolen moments, but they go by WAY too fast...

Shouldn't the 20 minute "nap" have been in quotation marks?

Looks like you guys had a great time! HBD Tim! oh, welcome to the 'over 40 club' - even though it is technically 40 +1day...

I love Rick Brambrick. I mean I love his humor. How weird to say that seeing that we have never met. Rick, I am not a weirdo. Well, not too weird.

Happy Birthday Tim. And that last picture looks like it should be a poster on a wall. GREAT PHOTOGRAPHY. That one is my fave!
