Playhouses at Fashion Island

Every year in October, we head to Fashion Island to see the playhouses. They are built as a fundraiser for the homeless. One is raffled off and the rest are sold at aution. The last I heard, they would go for an average of $35,000 - $50,000! Seeing these gave me the inspiration to build our playhouse and anyone who has seen ours can see the slight resemblance!

So here are some of my favorites:

This beach house is the one they were raffling off.

Tim found a few that were perfect for him. There is this log fishing cabin...

This log surf/skate/snowboard cabin... and an Angel press box I didn't get a picture of.

The are the two I liked the most...

These are so amazing, and every detail is unbelievable! Forget the kids, I want to live in one!!

Then we headed over to the APPLE store where the kids played with iphoto. They came up with some great, distorted images!

It wouldn't be a trip to Fashion Island without a stop at Build-A-Bear...

and lots of shopping for shoes for Emma...

Finally, after thinking our day was done, I found a Coldstone coupon for a free Love It size signature creation for Tim's birthday, so.... we had to head there!

where we saw an amazing sunset! What a fun day!
