Disneyland with the Platts

We headed off to Disneyland with some of our favorite Disney-goin' friends - the Platts. Lots of fun hanging with them all. I love how well the kids get along and how they love the same things. Decorating cookies and spinning in a teacup proved the big hits today!

All pictures taken with my phone... sorry for the quality.

Saw the "New and Improved" Small World.

One final pic in front of the first ever fake Christmas tree at Disneyland. Supposed to be more environmentally friendly, but I have to wonder about the impact on our planet of making and disposing of all that plastic. That's another post!

Lori, Dominic and I went last friday here are a few of my thoughts.

The tree, I'm very disappointed. It just doesn't smell. When I worked there one of my favorite things to do was to walk by the tree in the morning (on my way to the pirate ride) just to smell it.

Now when you get close you see those shiny plastic needles with little bits of brown paint on the back. It looks cheesy to me. It is more environmentally friendly because I would assume they'd just store and then redecorate the tree rather than toss it out. I don't like it.

The new and improved small world has PLASTIC boats! I guess it's not a big deal but I was blown away, they look like a Little Tykes built boat. Other than that and the "budget cut" mini rooms as I call them the ride is good and Dominic seemed to enjoy looking at the dancing dolls.

The overall park decorations are nice and I like all the castle decorations.

Assume you mean that you took the photos with your Treo rather than a real camera? Nice memories - Dad
