Final Thoughts on the Election

I know you are all going to go off and vote today! Don't forget your free Starbucks and Ben & Jerry's.

I think the biggest thing we Christians need to keep in mind is that God is Sovereign. He is in charge, He sits on the throne, this is His universe. He has a plan, and our job is to align our hearts with His. He is so much bigger than whatever happens today.

Today, we are not voting for a Savior or a Messiah, although from the coverage and the responses people have had to these candidates, you would think that we were. Rather we are voting as responsible Americans and God-fearing Christians.

Laws and leaders do not lead people to Jesus. We do. So vote... and then continue to demonstrate the love of Christ on November 5th, no matter what.

Michelle; Thank you for your words of comfort! I agree. Where I have a problem is, the outcome. If People don't think before they Vote, what might it end result ? Can a country like this one continue to stand if millions and millions of Babies keep getting slaughtered every year ? Will God hold us accountable for our actions? Will there ever come a day God will remove his protective hand from our Nation ? If there are People who say they believe in Christ, yet Vote for the Party that allows abortion, have we failed ? Have we as believers done enough to make a difference? .............Uncle Kent

thank you for that. My p;dest daughter was sad by the outcome today but I reminded her that as believers we are not going to say negative things but instead pray for and trust that God has a plan for our president and leader. To also pray that God would surround him with people that are God fearing. Thanks again for the post.
